Chris Sedlaczek was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1965.
After studies at the Faculty of Law, he followed his passion for photography and moved to Milan, Italy. Initially, he assisted Giovanni Gastel in fashion editorial and advertising work. Soon Sedlaczek's editorial photographs were published in various fashion magazines, like Donna and Cosmopolitan. It opened an opportunity for him to develop his pictorial language.
Nearly eleven years working in the fashion industry, his instinct drew him back to nature, to the woods and mountains where in solitude and contemplation, he is able to explore his inner path of existence and being. Sedlaczek's images are reflecting nature's dignity, grace and perfection.
His early series "Peelings" 1996 and "Frequencies" 2000, "Flowers" 2007, as well as the most recent series of cityscapes "It's what I see" 2019, show the passion for sharing a visual life expressed in large scale images.
Chris Sedlaczek currently lives in Hua Hin, Thailand
