Christian Ugarte is a Peruvian photographer. After years in the press, he has decided to devote himself to the development of personal projects. These works are the expression of an anthropological point of view, which questions certain aspects of the relationship between man and sex, and eroticism with transgression and feelings, always from a personal perspective.
Since 2010, Ian Tevo (pseudonym and alterego de Christian) has been working on Mercenario, a project with which he proposes a revision of the roles and visions that take place in the world of sex work. Its objective is to transgress the fatalistic perception that is had about it. For this, it uses an ethnographic approach and, at the same time, intimate, where the inner experience guides us in the liberation of the superficial layers that cover the eroticism and the emotions.
