Claire Hansen is a Maryland-born artist who creates work in her studio in Brooklyn, NY. She has been exhibited both domestically and internationally primarily for her photographic work. Since completing her BFA in Photography at the Pratt Institute for Art and Design in 2020, Hansen has continued her love of unconventional image making by entering in the virtual sphere. Using original images from cutting edge video games and antiquated photographic processes to create tintype collages, Hansen explores medium, memory, and emotional significance in an innovative way. Most recently in her career, Hansen received an Honorary Mention from the 20th Julia Margaret Cameron Awards and co-curated the group show, "Memory as Collage" at 14BC Gallery in New York, NY.
