PhotoVisa Photobook Contest

Winners will be announced in October 2020

The 1st PhotoVisa International Biennale of Photography (which comes instead of the annual PhotoVisa festival, est. 2008) and LensCulture invite authors to participate in Photo book contest.

Today PhotoVisa is the largest regional festival of photography held in Russia, which won recognition from the Russian and global photography community.

Along with the annual Photography and Projects based on photography Contest we announce Open call for the first Photo book contest.

According to the results of the competition, 10 shortlisted authors will be presented with their books as part of the festival's multimedia screenings and in the catalogue of the 1st PhotoVisa International Biennale of Photography 2020. Winners of the title of PhotoVisa 2020 Best Photobook will be invited to participate in panel discussion and to send paper versions of their books to Krasnodar for display at the festival's photo book exhibition within the framework of coming PhotoVisa International Biennale of Photography.

The judges of this nomination specialize in the artist’s book and author’s photo book. The applications are submitted to the competition in the form of a video file that gives an idea of the image of the book. Description of the project is welcome.
