Cristina Ananías Werner (Santiago de Chile 1982). Self-taught photographer, graphic designer by profession.
I have been dedicated to photography since the year 2009 when I started working for the online newspaper Emol (El Mercurio), in the section of photographic galleries until 2011.
In 2012 I graduated in Aesthetics and Photographic Practice at the Catholic University of Santiago.
I have ventured into different areas, from product photography to child portraiture with my project Born to be Child (www.borntobechild.cl), as well as gastronomic photography.
But it is in the documentary field where I find my main motivation.
During the numerous trips I have made both inside and outside Chile, I sought to capture the essence of each place through its spaces and its inhabitants. I am currently travelling the Spanish province of Andalucía, documenting and experiencing life in the south of Spain.
