My name is Cristina, but call me Bambi. I started taking pictures because of my poor memory. I wanted to keep places, moments, people forever... Until it became a necessity. I can only take pictures on weekends. From Monday to Friday I work in an advertising agency and a lot of my work is related to fashion, where everything is meticulously measured and fictionalized. But Bambi is something else. With my camera I look for the opposite.
I like genuine things, imperfections, everything that comes out of the canons. I love the extraordinary characters that I find in the city and also the mixtures of impossible colors. Everything that defines us, like folklore, that so many times we don´t value or even reject. Also I love everything that shouldn´t be in a place, but it is. And otherwise. All in all: that crack that appears on a freshly painted wall. Everything that turns our reality into a little less normal, perfect and standardized thing. Everything that is REAL. Hence my passion
for Street Photography. The city and us face to face, without tricks.
