Dagmara Bugaj was born in Iłża, Poland in 1983. She works predominantly in the medium of photography, but also includes installations and objects. Her body of work features nature, portraits and still life, often circulating around human being. Her projects are usually very intimate, personal and enigmatic.
She has completed Graphics with distinction at the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Lodz, Poland. Dagmara Bugaj participated in several solo shows in Lodz at Fotofestiwal as well as group exhibitions all around Poland, Germany, Italy, Hungary and USA.
Currently works as a professor’s assistant at the Photography and Multimedia Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, Poland.
