I discovered my passion for photography as a young girl. From the very beginning, I recognized the potential of the medium as a tool to see past the surface of the world around me. Getting my BFA in photography at CCAC (2004) helped me to sharpen that tool. Over the years, I have worked in various forms of portrait photography in and out of the studio. I love theatrics and working with unique and unusual people. I am a concept driven artist and enjoy experimenting with both technique and theme. I involve myself with every detail of the production of a photoshoot, from scouting locations to styling and building props. I am currently focused on a book project I call The Big Top, which features photographs of a professional circus community based in San Francisco.
