I am currently in my second year at Manchester Metropolitan University, studying BA Photography. Recently I realised my style within photography; what inspires me and engages me the most within the medium. A reoccurring method that has evolved within my practice, is my interest in the human form. How we are constructed, our appearance and the shape. Also, to identify the relationship between the human figure and how it interacts with space in the world.
I am building my skills to work as an assistant to professional photographers and artists. Now that I have found what fascinates me the most in this medium, I am confident that I will work collaboratively with others and develop these skills further.
I contextualise my work within the field of fine art performance as a self-staging photographer, however I do not want to limit myself as I am still finding out about my practice. I will mix mediums when it benefits the concepts of the projects I am involved in. Thus, my work will be more engaging and intimate if it comes directly from my ‘self’ in any way possible and I want to communicate this to the audience.
