I began studying photography seriously as a teen-ager and was heavily influenced by the work of Minor White and Edward Weston. I considered a career in photojournalism but my father pushed me toward writing instead, thinking it would be more of a challenge. I had a good career. But I finally have retired to pursue my passion for photography. I primarily make portraits and photograph dancers now, though I also enjoy dabbling in street photography and photojournalism. I just can't get enough of people.
