I worked in Milan for a B+W laboratory, Shades of Gray, later Juan Gil studios. We would develop and print the work of many of the fashion and commercial photographers in the area as well as a good amount of photojournalists with Magnum and Contrasto. For me, it was the best education ever to see all these contact sheets and see how a photographer would work the scene.
Later I moved back to the states and studied to become a Nurse Practitioner treating mostly migrant farm workers as patients in the Pacific Northwest then moved down to Texas to work for the Army and later Texas Tech.
I am working on several portrait projects that should come out in the near future.
