Dave Edens picked up the camera with the intention of actually learning the craft in early 2011. He stuck with it and a progression can be seen over the last few years toward a bit more skill and understanding of the art. It is still very much a journey of exploration and learning, something he enjoys each time he looks through the results of the latest batch of images.
Dave participates in two local photography groups. The fun and informal North Alabama Photographers Guild, which holds monthly meetings and various get togethers as events or ideas spark an outing. He is also a member of the Huntsville Photographic Society which is a more formalized group which holds monthly meetings and competitions. Both groups have helped quite a bit in advancing his knowledge and improving his eye.
Dave has been fortunate enough to haven been selected for inclusion in six consecutive Huntsville Photographic Society exhibits at the Huntsville Museum of Art. The museum chooses 50 prints for exhibit
