A native of New Jersey, I received a BA in fine arts at Montclair State and a MFA degree from Pratt Institute. From 1970–2004, I pursued a career in art education. During that time, I taught and supervised fine arts programs in two New Jersey school districts. I have been actively showing my work in a variety of group shows at galleries and museums in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware since 2005. Awards include the von Holtzbrinck Coexistence Award for my entry in the 2007 New Brunswick "Exhibition Coexistence" competition, and an Honorable Mention in the 2013 New York Center for Photographic Art's international exhibit "Water". In 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2020 my entries into The Photo Review's "International Photo Competition" were included in it's special Web exhibitions. I have also had work published in Rowan University's "Glassworks Magazine", Delaware Art Museum's "Dreamstreets no. 51" and "Light—A Journal of Photography & Poetry".
