David Hornillos (Madrid, 1974) studied photography at Blank Paper School of Photography, Madrid. He is a member of the collective Fotoaplauso.
He was awarded the Documentary Photography ARCO 2013 prize and nominated for the First Book Award MACK 2014.
In 2014 he participates in the exhibition “Libros que son fotos, fotos que son libros” Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid) and in “P2P Prácticas Contemporáneas de la Fotografía Española” Photoespaña 14, Teatro Fernán Gómez, Madrid.
His first photobook, Mediodía (Dalpine) has been published in 2014 and has been nominated for the Photobook Award Kassel 2014 Best Book of the Year.
