Having studied film at Northwestern University and street photography with professors that were disciples of Garry Winogrand, I consider the street my home for my photo camera. Having photographed all over the world from Europe, to Mexico and Asia, my eye is always looking to find and framing the natural irony and juxtaposition of people to place. With my camera, I simply shoot to provide testimony to such moments.
I have shown my work in numerous galleries and have won many awards for my work. The University of Mexico in Mexico City owns a series of my Mexico street work which was shown in Los Angeles and around satellite campuses in Mexico. Finally, I'm a founding member of The Los Angeles League of Photographers (LALOP) which was around from 2002-2007. The photographers from that group have continued to influence the photography scene in Los Angeles for which I'm quite proud to have taken part.
Ultimately, photography for me is about going out and seeing and testifying to my fellow humans and our little time on this planet.
