Dawn Colsia combines her life long love of photography with her passion for social change. She utilizes her skills to create awareness and dialogue about important political and cultural issues of our time. Dawn’s images act as a medium to expose and influence our values and priorities as a society.
Dawn was honored to be selected as an Artist of the Year in the 2017 Member Prize Show and was selected to participate in the National Prize Show with the Cambridge Art Association. Her images of Cuba were on display at the Newton Free Library during May of 2017. In addition, her images were on display at the 311 Gallery in Raleigh NC and the Griffin Museum Tree Talk Online Exhibition. She participated in Atelier 23 and the Winter Solstice at the Griffin Museum. She is a graduate of Boston University’s Center For Digital Imaging Arts. Dawn has also taken courses at Mass College of Art, the Griffin Museum and New England School of Photography.
