I believe the soul of a good photograph has little to do with which PhotoShop technique you use and whether you have the best Nikon available.
I believe the soul of a good photograph has to do with passion, the desire for connection, and a deep, but patient, determination to authentically experience the human spirit.
I am ever looking for connection to that spirit.
Whether that connection is with the eternal essence of a sunrise that bespeaks our longing for immortality, or with the sweet grace of a young girl wrapped around the boughs of a peach tree thousands of miles from home, I am ultimately seeking a shared humanity -- the subject’s, the viewers and mine.
I make sense of the world by documenting it. To my way of thinking, every picture is a story waiting to be told.
