Diogo grew up with a camera on hand and constantly moving around the Americas and Europe. Big cities and the tiniest towns alike. He graduated from NYU with a major in Politics and a minor in Creative Writing.
Before taking a leap of faith with photography, he worked in politics as a lobbyist and political consultant in Mexico City, in campaigns both in Mexico and the U.S., and as an intern in the Mayor’s Office in NYC.
As a photographer he has worked with NGOs and magazines such as Esquire, Marie Claire, and Harper’s Bazaar.
He believes in being open to new experiences and understanding through empathy. Being around animals, specially horses, brings him peace. Writing about himself in the third person feels like reaching into a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.
He has a Tibetan Terrier called Dalai and they currently live in Vale do Capão in Bahia.
