I am a public health expert and a passionate photographer. I learned photography in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1998-99 and have been taking pictures since then, with a preference for black and white photography. In the past six years, while living in Senegal, I evolved from mainly urban photography to more documentary photography - both in my neighborhood in Dakar and also while working for malaria control programs in several countries of West Africa. I was selected twice for exhibitions at Gorée Regards sur Cours (biennial exhibition) in Senegal. Some of my pictures on Malaria are featured by international non-governmental organizations such as Catholic Relief Services and the Global Fund against HIV, Tuberculosis and Malaria. I recently came back to France and I am looking for new photography opportunities, personally and/or professionally.
