Ed Díaz Rivera (Brooklyn, 1971), is a contemporary photographer characterized for his documentary, social and existencial productions; through his lens, captures in an obsessive, crude and transparent manner, the streets, the faces and lives of our world. Eddie obtained his BA in sociology at the University of Puerto Rico, and then studied audiovisual arts at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, where he also worked as a photojournalist in one of the leading newspapers of that city, Siglo XXI. After his return to Puerto Rico, he worked in different areas of art and communications, such as photography and films. Today he works as a freelance photographer, documentary videographer and editor at Rojo Chiringa Studio in San Juan. He has found his true voice and expression of self by capturing and documenting the streets and the folks who live there; documentary photography is his favorite way of looking at the World.
