Born in Lleida, he has a degree in Fine Art specialized in Photography from the University of Barcelona. During that time he was interested in photojournalism and combined his studies with working as photographer for the Segre newspaper.
As a freelancer, up to 1997, he undertook some photo features, and then co-founded Zoom, reporters’ agency, where he worked as a photographer and chief of photography, publishing his works in various national media. www.agenciazoom.com
He left Zoom in 2000 and taught photography at the Lleida School of art until 2008. During which time, he would occasionally collaborate in some Zoom projects.
In his personal projects he questions the relationship between man and nature and the space that we occupy. Some of the recurrent topics in the artist’s most recent work are the transformation of territory, dialogue with nature, and representation of landscape. Mainly using photography as a medium, the artist alternate staged photography with documentary style.
