I’m an aspiring freelance photojournalist with a passion for telling stories through photography. I am a self-taught photographer specialising in the Balkans. I have spent the last 4 years covering minorities, poverty, migration and conflict in the Balkans, Europe, the Middle East and South Caucuses Region. Over the last year I have focused on reportage of the refugee crisis in the Balkans. I have worked with a number of charities to establish relationships and build an understanding of the refugee crisis and experience the reality on the ground.
The human side of stories fascinates me and I enjoy interacting with people to understand, record and photograph their stories. I hope to continue developing and learning within photojournalism and to keep telling important stories that need to be brought to light. The images submitted are part of a self-funded project in which I’ve travelled to Serbia continuously over the last year trying to build a complete picture of those stranded.
