I’m an aspiring freelance photojournalist with a passion for telling stories through photography. I am a self-taught photographer specialising in the Balkans. I have spent the last 4 years covering minorities, poverty, migration and conflict in the Balkans, Europe, the Middle East and South Caucuses Region. Over the last year I have focused on reportage of the refugee crisis in the Balkans. I have worked with a number of charities to establish relationships and build an understanding of the refugee crisis and experience the reality on the ground.
The human side of stories fascinates me and I enjoy interacting with people to understand, record and photograph their stories. I hope to continue developing and learning within photojournalism and to keep telling important stories that need to be brought to light. The images submitted are the beginning of a project that I have self-funded, spending 7 weeks in Serbia trying to build a complete picture of those stranded in Serbia.
