An architect turned photographer at the International Center of Photography, New York.
I have photographed my sons since birth, but at first it was simply to document them and their growth.
As time moved on I found I was photographing them to unite with them on a photographic level. I wanted to observe and freeze them through the lens so that they could see how I saw them.
Memories were recorded for the future.
The camera for me is a means of looking, observing, recording and learning about them. I have developed a sensitivity to them, their growth, changes and developments in the young men they are now.
Through my photography I have nurtured them in many different ways, but I have also learned to nurture myself.
