Elke Scholiers (b.1990) is a Belgian photographer and documentary filmmaker born and raised in Brussels. She worked as a photojournalist in China, India and the U.S. She's currently living in N.Y. documenting housing issues and breaking news.
In 2014, Elke left her hometown Brussels, where she studied Graphic Design and moved to China. In 2017, after her study in Chinese Language at the National University of Taiwan, she started her second career as a photojournalist after working 8 years as Graphic Designer, covering front-page stories about China’s communist youth. In 2020, Elke studied Visual Journalism Program at ICP.
