Ellie Sass (Sassayiannis) lives and works in Greece. She has studied French Literature at the Sorbonne University (Paris IV) and theatre, fine arts and photography in various schools of art in Athens.
She focuses on portrait and documentary photography and works on narrative and experimental photography She creates black and white aesthetics in experimental photography with harsh contrasts of shadows and light with a tendency towards noir, comic aesthetic, and abstract minimalism. As a visual artist Ellie Sass is interested in photo collages, in portraiture, in mixed media artworks and also in hagiography.
She has participated in various photography and visual art exhibitions. She has distinguished herself in many competitions and her work has been exhibited in Europe.
At this moment her main axis focuses on spirituality, experimental art and expressionism. Her faith in Jesus Christ (Orthodoxy) gives her motivation to create artistically and to fulfil her purpose in life.
