About Emily Passino

I grew up working in the darkroom with my dad, where I learned basic principles of photography thanks to his patience and generosity. After years of catch-as-catch-can photography, about 10 years ago I started more deliberate study, and am active in local photography groups, including serving as president of the Society of Nashville Artistic Photographers. I also lead "photo dialogue" workshops with community groups for patients with early onset Alzheimer. All of that is to say I’m constantly learning, and only recently comfortable with the idea of identifying as a photographer.
