Emily Porter grew up in Milwaukee. She attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a four year Milwaukee County Artistic Scholarship as well as the Guido Brink Scholarship. Porter studied abroad in Paris over the summer of 2011 and her art has been shown in local venues, D.C, Vermont and New York. She has also been published on the online publication Untitled Cereal, Fine Line Magazine Blog, PhotoWhoa, Unless You Will, Fraction Magazine and The Swap.
