Emma Pearce is a DC-based filmmaker and documentary photographer. She wrote and produced an award winning short, In Lorton's Darkroom, about a photography program at DC's infamous Lorton Prison, and currently works for Cisco Systems as a videographer and motion graphics animator.
Additionally, she teaches photography at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM.
Through her experiences, she aims to create photographs that evoke feeling, foster empathy towards complicated characters, that represent the combined experiences of youth, longing, complacency, and desire.
Emma is a 2013 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Filmmaking.
