Born 1969 in Germany I grew up both in my two home countries Germany and Japan. Graduated 1995 at the Fachakademie fuer Fotodesign in Munich/Germany with a documentary project about Tokyo, which was followed by a broader recognition in exhibitions and contests.
Since then I work freelance as a professional photographer for german and international magazines, agencies and companies mostly in the field of documentary and portrait photography. My first solo photo book "Where the heart ist-Photography from Germany and Japan" was published 2011. Since 1995 I took regularly part in various exhibitions, photo festivals and book projects.
I am a member of the Bildagentur Focus/Hamburg.
