The son of a photojournalist, Philadelphia native Eric J. Smith's photograph of a humpback whale breaching next to a boater immersed in his mobile device has sparked a global conversation about our overuse of technology. His aerial photograph above the Gulf of Mexico was selected by National Geographic Traveler for inclusion in their exhibit “View from Above” which is currently on display at Chicago’s O’hare International Airport. The Huffington Post has called Eric’s photography “stunning” and his first solo exhibit "Abstract Earth" is on display at Hermosa Design in Hermosa Beach, CA. Eric is a graduate of the Rhode island School of Design and currently serves as Creative Director and a traveling photographer for CBS EcoMedia. He is a passionate advocate for environmental and wildlife issues.
