I'm a space engineer, a scientist in the field of climate change and a documentary photographer.
My scientific knowledge and my ever-growing passion for photography, made me decide to commit to use photography not only for my most personal and intimate interests, but to also communicate climate science and climate change. Science can deliver facts and numbers but cannot reach people’s emotions. Photography can help making this connection and raise awareness on important issues such as climate change and global warming.
I look for harmony when I shoot photos. In the huge mess that populates this world, I look for a sort of order, of balance. I like the idea of fixing things I find on my path. Taking a photo is like to adding some order to the world, to clean, to tidy it up. I think this is what connects photography to my scientific background.
