About Federica Bizzarri

The interest in flower photography has only recently arrived and perhaps it was an inevitable step given the passion for flowers that I inherited from my mother.
I love photographing them especially when they have lost their flowering splendor: shriveled, stained, with some defects, on the verge of returning to the earth. Their decay is for me the reflection of the passing of time and of our own life.
Through these photographs I would like to invite the viewer to rediscover the beauty where we take it for granted that there cannot be. For this "Gone with the wind" is an invitation to free ourselves from our prejudices, from the old ways of seeing things because perfection is not always synonymous with beauty
