I walk with my camera, and I'm afraid that unless I can make people stop and stare, they will miss out the aesthetic value of the every-day.
I consider myself a Social Photographer. Due to my extensive use of documentary, street and journalistic photographic techniques, I have managed to capture the mundane in a way that makes people more interested in their daily social environments.
My prime purpose for capturing these images is to make people conscious about what happens before their eyes; ergo the commonplace moments, things and events that would otherwise remain unseen. I'm trying to awaken empathy for the ordinary, to help ourselves avoid becoming trapped fully within our own selfish worlds.
