I am François, a French street photographer currently living in Los Angeles. After graduating from a Masters degree in Environmental Design in Shanghai, I pursued a professional career as an exhibition and interior designer for four years.
I moved to Los Angeles two years ago, and very recently I was still designing shows at the Getty Museum but dreamt to be one of the artists in those shows.
This experience as a designer and traveler really influenced the way I see spaces and architecture. Oddly enough, it is by placing cameras in 3D models that I have trained my eyes to compose photographs. Very soon, and on my free time, I felt the need to go out and hunt for my own architectural and graphic compositions.
"Graphic Encounters" is a documentation of hidden geometry and patterns I come across in my daily life. These discoveries turn the mundane of everyday errands into extraordinary captures. By revealing the hidden beauty and humor in overlooked urban scenes, I am hoping to make people dream in their own daily lives and wonder about their own idea of beauty.
