Born in Paris, Frederique Feder is a multidisciplinary artist based in London.
Following on the footsteps of her relative, the French painter Jacques Emile Blanche, she studied portraiture at the Art Student League of New York City and created in 2010 a series of mixed media sculptures entitled “Meninas”. The first piece of this series was shortlisted by the Saatchi Gallery for their Showdown Competition. Having also trained as an actress and worked with the likes of Pedro Almodovar, Krzysztof Kieslowski and Alex de la Iglesia among others; Feder has learned her craft directing several short films and since 2016 has re-engaged with street photography and video art. In 2018 Feder’s photographic work has been shortlisted by Agnes b. who curated her first solo exhibition in France. She’s currently working on an art project installation which will include photography, video art and a 3D central piece.
