I am a storyteller with a background in psychology, motion pictures and photography and have a keen interest in sociology. I originally trained as a filmmaker although the main outlets of my creative expression are through the lens of still photography and the written word.
I'm fascinated with language, learning new ones, and our abilities to connect and (mis)communicate in all of them. I'm especially interested in examining how we process and interpret images and how we seek to understand and alter our reality. My personal work focuses on identity in society and how society influences identity, with a more recent focus on gender-related aspects. In August 2016 my first book An Equal Difference was published.
My commercial work focuses on people and travel. I am a self-confessed motorcycle addict, having recently completed a solo round trip from Stonehenge to Iceland's Arctic Henge on a 250cc motorcycle.
