I am a storyteller with a background in psychology, and a keen interest in sociology. I trained as both a filmmaker and a photographer but the main outlet of my creative expression is through the lens of still photography and the written word. I'm fascinated with language, learning new ones, and our abilities to connect and (mis)communicate in all of them. I'm especially interested in examining how we process and interpret images and how we seek to understand and alter our reality.
My personal work focuses on identity in society with a focus on gender related issues. In order to produce my first book ‘An Equal Difference’, I became an independent publisher, hiring the necessary skilled collaborators to bring my vision to publication. I enjoy growing from experiences as much as sharing my experiences and inspiring others to grow. I guest lecture in photography and film and speak internationally. I am an American born British national currently living in Reykjavík, Iceland.
