Has worked for major U.S. and international publications including the New York Times and had photos published in three Pulitzer Prize winning editions of the Los Angeles Times.
His North Hollywood Neighborhood Project is part of the permanent photo collection of the Los Angeles Public Library. It was displayed in the Central library for six months in 2001 and 2002 in conjunction with an Edward Weston show. Images from the project are a part of a group show on display this fall at the Glenn Dallas Gallery in Santa Barbara, California.
As a photo educator he has been leading student success at Santa Monica College which includes: guiding photographers who consistently win local, state and national awards from assignments produced in class, including the College Photographer of the Year; coaching six community college students into acceptance at the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop; leading five community college Master Classes in a Getty Museum backed educational partnership.
