About Guillaume Adam

Guillaume Adam (b. 1969) is a French photographer based near Paris. For 35 years he has worked in humanitarian aid and the nonprofit sector.
Photography runs parallel to this work, always close to the people his professional life serves. Between 2017 and 2018 he self-published five photo-notebooks with the Paris imprint Out of the Phone. His work has been featured in L'Œil de la Photographie (2017, 2018), Fisheye Magazine (2017) and Gabonreview. He is autistic, and describes his practice as "living in negative": photographing in others what he cannot read in himself.
