Harel is a documentary photographer and videographer. He applies his documentary approach to photojournalism, portraits and performing arts subjects.
Harel began his career in 2000 as a photographer for magazines and production companies in Israel. When he moved to New York in 2010 he began covering red carpet and current events for an agency. His work has taken him across the country as well across several countries.
His passion is discovering and telling the inspirational stories of people and their world. He seeks to move seamlessly from being the “fly on the wall” to documenting close-up interactions.
In his downtime Harel likes to roam city streets, documenting one of his great loves: New York City. Harel lives with his wife, Tiffany, two children, and a hound dog named Daisy in Brooklyn (and doesn’t usually refer to himself in the third person).
