Art, to me, is purely about aesthetics. I am intrigued, engaged and stimulated simply by a piece's composition, use of colors, design, presentation, and less by the subject matter, style of brush or materials etc. While I can see emotion in art, it is not what I am looking for when viewing art of any kind. With this in mind, when viewing my work, the ambition behind it is to achieve some form of beauty in the simplest of terms: composition, color and perspective. The only statement or impression I hope to make is does one enjoy what they're viewing. I do expect people to take away whatever they want from my work as art should always be open to what the eye of the beholder sees. Having grown up in the art world, I am most influenced by 'Contemporary' and 'Pop' art. My work lends itself to heavy saturation and contrast and I love the use of vanishing points and their interplay with composition and perspective.
