I lived in many different countries absorbing varying cultures. The exotic and attractive environment I encountered changed like musical chair. But amidst the shifting rhythms and clashing chords, I came to focus on my reactions and feelings reflecting off the chaos of the external world. I looked for a continuity within me. But, alas, the more I looked, the more mysterious it got. The more I tried, the harder it got. There was “Only Don’t Know”. However, I did find one thing- a fascination towards the complex and mysterious ways of the mind. Showing something that expresses or triggers something else became my interest. My photography uses everyday surroundings. But it is a vehicle that aims to transports and elevate the mundane to extreme poignancy. In my work everyday reality becomes something else, and starts to generate layers upon layers of emotion and history. The works are there to trigger the mind’s wheel to roll down a path that follows the shifts of the drifting mind. Destination unknown.
