The two most important references in my work are my father, Leonardo Régnier, who's a great documental photographer, and my grandmother, Uiara Bartira, who's an important painter in Brazil. Both of them have been showing me the ways to do art, even if they weren't realizing it, at all. Everyday was school day. And It's been this way for the last 20 years.
I'm involved in cinema, as film editor or director, or art director, or anything that I can give my help to. I'm also a designer and creative in a production company, Estúdio 172 (film, design, music, label) that I have with three friends and the most amazing team, here in Curitiba.
I believe that the seek for something else, the seek for creation, the seek for getting out of inertia, is what creates sense in life. And I definitely feel this way about photography. It's about being curious, precise and passionate.
