I first took photography seriously during a period living abroad, taking portraits of people in the streets. When I returned to Australia I added experimentation with landscapes and macro photography.
I find photography to be an excellent excuse to explore the world. It takes me to places I may otherwise have not visited. During the planning, meandering or composing of an image I find I am present in that moment. Be it wandering suburban streets or navigating a moss covered forest, capturing a scene that communicates the sense of wonder that this universe offers can be a uniquely fulfilling experience.
