Iris is a social documentary photographer who is currently living in the San Francisco Bay area. Her interest is centered on visual storytelling that illuminates, and invites others to break out of the "conditioned" frames by which they see the world. She has developed projects both locally and in Palestine, bringing awareness and understanding to what it means to live life under Occupation. She recently turned the camera toward herself and her own family with her personal project "Bounds of inheritance." She sees the honest and open expression of vulnerability as a bridge towards intimacy and emotional connection with other humans, but also as cathartic and transformative in developing wholeness with oneself.
