About Isabeau de Rouffignac

Born in Paris in 1963, I graduated from the School of Graphic Arts in Paris (1982-1986). Always passionate about the image, I began as early as 2000 – aside from my professional activities* – to make many trips to India, Nepal and Cambodia. Out of these different stays came four self-published photographic books:
Although I had an initial training that incorporated the work of the image and a long-standing photographic practice, I felt the need to go further, to question my writing, and so I followed several workshops, animated by professional photographers.
With:
- Patrick Zachmann (Documentary Photography - Eyes in Progress)
- Claudine Doury (Between fiction and reality - Rencontres de la photo, Arles)
- Philippe Guionie (Ideas and choices - Rencontres de la photo, Arles)
- Ludovic Careme (Portraits, another myself - Rencontres de la photo, Arles)
I also integrated a training of CIFAP (The techniques of digital photojournalism), given by Alain Frilet and Philippe Bréson.
