Iva Petkova-Jauss, born in Burgas, Bulgaria in 1975, she now lives near Freiburg, Germany. Since 2005, she has been working intensively on photography. From 2005 to 2009 she devotes herself to her project on the therapeutic effect of photography (phototherapy). at the same time she took part in various group exhibitions of Bulgarian modern photography and presented her work at individual exhibitions in Germany.
Iva Jauss prefers to take pictures with analog cameras. Her artistic works, however, are digitally edited and produced.
LensCulture is her first participation in a competition for photographers.

"Photographing means being able to see more, but the irony is that everything I believe and that moves my life is invisible, and I've always been looking for the invisible - even with my camera. My work are impressions and portraits that can "whisper" beyond mere vision, and that is a language that reveals new knowledge for the seen around me and leads deeply to my own inner worlds. "
