J Dago Santos is a self-taught, freelance photographer born in Cebu, the Philippines and now lives in New York City. He has done editorial work for publications such as Town and Country, Esquire Philippines, Sunstar Travel, and Elle. Some of his work have been exhibited in the Tate Modern, Oscura Photo Festival, and many private collections and walls all over the world (:-)
Most of his photography is done while traveling, and is an attempt to find the the connections between time, place, thought, culture, and history, and where these connections dwell within memories, ideas, myth-making. He is particularly interested in photographs as instigating ideas, to suggest through images with its capability for symbolism, and the small details of landscape and light, how things might be or how beliefs might form.
