Jacque Rupp is a San Francisco Bay Area based documentary/fine art photographer. For Jacque’s work, it’s always about the people. She explores the depths of the human experience across cultures, continually searching, through the lens, for a deep understanding of the interrelatedness that exists amongst cultures. Her photography is resolutely about human connection.
As a daughter of a psychologist, I am deeply curious about the human condition. I suffered many losses early in my life through untimely deaths and moving, so there is always an underlying theme around connection in my work. I developed an ability to be fully present, especially in the tough situations which has developed me as an artist.
It’s very personal for me. I’m drawn by intensity, intimacy and authenticity in my subjects.
