About James Hall

James Hall is a fine art photographer and printmaker. Much of his work is shaped by art history and he sees himself as a contemporary photographer influenced by but not subservient to the classical traditions of art and photography. He is particularly interested in the dissolving boundaries between painting and photography in a digital world.

One of Hall’s images from a series on Polish artists working in Britain featured in the first Portrait of Britain competition.
