I saved for and bought my first camera at 14 and despite being the noisiest steam-engine of a body in existence (A Praktika MTL3), I was more interested in the 50mm Zeiss lens on the front.
My passion for photography led me to the Royal Airforce before becoming QC in a (wet film) photo lab. During my career, I have had the opportunity to photograph events, worked and toured with a renowned international musician, photographed famous people and amazing places.
In 2008 I moved to Australia and attended University. I am now principally interested in photography that challenges boring, is iconoclastic and questions the status quo. My practice is to imagine collections which challenge expectation, recognise diversity and do so in a manner that is technically as good as possible while being visually stimulating
I recognise that there will be many that don't like what I do - I don't have a fashionable "Look" for example but believe that what I do has it's own merits.
